Staff Nurse (RN) - Surgical Admission

About The Position
We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Surgical Admissions unit. This position is a 0.75 FTE (60 hours per pay period) (6 shifts/ pay period), 10-hour shifts, day and evening rotating shifts. The Surgical Admissions unit is part of the Surgical Services department providing preprocedure, post anesthesia phase II recovery and follow up nursing care to all ages having surgical and special procedures. Annually, 15,300 patients are admitted and discharged each year and staff perform minor procedures to 550 patients.
Requirements
- 1 year of ICU RN experience within the last 3 years
- ACLS upon hire
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
Nice To Haves
- PALS within 6 months
- Certification in area of clinical specialty
- BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
