About The Position
The Staff Nurse LPN/LVN provides care to assigned residents in a caring, safe, and efficient manner, following location standards and procedures and individualized resident care plans. The nurse administers medications and treatments according to nursing standards of practice and updates care plans as needed. This is a full-time position working 12-hour night shifts at Litzenberg Memorial Merrick in Central City, Nebraska.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure for the state of practice is required.
- Basic ability to communicate and comprehend.
- Ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities.
- Knowledge of basic nursing skills.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to assigned residents in a caring, safe, and efficient manner according to location standards, procedures, and individualized resident care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments to assigned residents in accordance with nursing standards of practice.
- Update care plans as needed.
