The Staff Nurse II is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients and their families in compliance with the standards for care at Seton Medical Center and the Nurse Practice Act. This role involves providing direct patient care in the Emergency Services department, including triage, assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions. The Staff Nurse II is expected to utilize advanced, specialized knowledge and skills, provide health education, perform various nursing procedures, and respond effectively to emergency medical situations. They must maintain all required credentials and stay current on emergency treatments and practices. Advocacy for public health and safety, accurate documentation, and compassionate patient care are also key aspects of this position. The role may also include performing duties of a Relief Charge RN.
