About The Position

Qualcomm is seeking a Staff Manager of Business Development to support SpaceX account execution by helping manage engagement cadence, meeting preparation, follow-up communications, pipeline discipline, internal coordination, and account intelligence. This role will create the operating structure needed to keep SpaceX workstreams visible, organized, and moving forward. The successful candidate will partner closely with the VP, Director, Qualcomm business unit stakeholders, and SpaceX counterparts to maintain account plans, opportunity trackers, executive materials, stakeholder maps, follow-ups, decision logs, and action registers that improve execution velocity, responsiveness, and internal alignment across SpaceX-related initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of Sales, Business Development or related work experience.
  • Associate's degree and 7+ years of Sales, Business Development or related work experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 9+ years of Sales, Business Development or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
  • This role is U.S.-based, and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
  • This position can be based out of Qualcomm's Santa Clara or San Diego's office locations and is expected to comply with the company's onsite work policy.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of experience in business operations, business development, strategic accounts, sales operations, program management, product operations, or related technology roles.
  • Experience supporting complex strategic accounts, external engagements, executive meetings, cross-functional programs, or technical partnership workstreams.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Experience building account plans, opportunity trackers, dashboards, meeting materials, action logs, and executive-ready summaries.
  • Comfort engaging with external counterparts, preparing polished communications, and representing account priorities in a professional, responsive, and relationship-oriented manner.
  • Working knowledge of connectivity, mobile devices, semiconductor platforms, satellite communications, direct-to-device, NTN, AI infrastructure, or edge AI preferred.
  • Ability to create structure in ambiguous environments, maintain accountability, and drive timely follow-through across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support SpaceX account execution by managing engagement cadence, meeting preparation, follow-up tracking, pipeline discipline, internal coordination, and account analytics.
  • Prepare agendas, pre-reads, discussion materials, follow-up notes, action summaries, and executive briefing content for SpaceX engagements.
  • Maintain the account plan, opportunity tracker, stakeholder map, decision log, action register, and briefing materials.
  • Help coordinate working-level interactions with SpaceX counterparts, ensure timely follow-up on open items, and support clear communication between SpaceX and Qualcomm stakeholders.
  • Track opportunity maturity, next steps, dependencies, risks, and commercial or technical milestones across active SpaceX workstreams.
  • Monitor SpaceX, Starlink, xAI, satellite connectivity, direct-to-device, and AI infrastructure developments to support account planning and executive updates.
