About The Position

As a Staff IT Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge services and applications that scale effortlessly. You will influence our architecture, contribute to groundbreaking projects, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver extraordinary results. This role is a key player in our fast-paced environment, working with a versatile tech stack including Python, Django, FastAPI, ReactJS, GraphQL, Docker, and Kubernetes within the Google Cloud Platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent military experience.
  • 5-8 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
  • 5+ years of experience with Python, using frameworks like Django or FastAPI to build fault-tolerant microservice/web architectures.
  • Strong experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, React, HTML5, and CSS3/SASS.
  • Solid hands-on experience designing and building scalable solutions that leverage relational and NoSQL databases.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance cutting-edge, scalable services and applications.
  • Deliver high-quality, meticulously detailed code for complex software solutions, ensuring robustness and performance.
  • Proactively collaborate and exchange information with product managers and cross-functional teams to turn ambitious visions into reality.
  • Work side-by-side with leads and architects on solution design to create innovative and game-changing system architectures.
  • Actively participate in the hiring process and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing practical, long-term solutions.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, challenging the status quo to drive innovation and efficiency.
