About The Position

Daniel B. Stephens & Associates (DBS&A), a Geo-Logic Associates Company, is seeking a qualified and motivated staff engineer to join their diverse technical team. DBS&A is an engineering, water resources, and environmental consulting firm providing comprehensive services in groundwater and surface water hydrology and soil science. Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in engineering.
  • Willingness to travel to remote job sites in Colorado or New Mexico/Texas.
  • Organized, with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work with a team of engineers, hydrogeologists, GIS specialists, and AutoCAD staff.
  • Interest in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or similar software for managing geospatial data.
  • On a PE track, and either have an E.I. or will sit for the FE exam within six months.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must possess and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurer.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with surface water management, landfill design and permitting, soil and groundwater remediation, water resources design and management, or mining industry support.
  • Comfortable addressing technical or layperson audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Compile necessary design documentation, including engineering drawings, technical specifications, contract documents, cost estimates, etc.
  • Work with vendors of proposed equipment and/or materials.
  • Perform construction observation, as-built documentation, and preparation of record drawings.
  • Collect field data and troubleshoot system and equipment operation.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Work on project teams with professionals who are motivated to provide high-level services to our clients.
