About The Position

At HRG, we pride ourselves on being an employee-owned, nationally recognized consulting engineering, planning, and infrastructure solutions firm. We are actively seeking a Staff Engineer I in our King of Prussia office. As a Staff Engineer I with HRG, you will assist with the design, analysis, and permitting of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers, contributing to impactful projects and developing your technical skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • E.I.T. certification preferred
  • Previous internship with a consulting engineering company is preferred; 0–3 years of experience
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of work
  • Logical and analytical thinking to resolve engineering challenges
  • Excellent time management, including workload efficiency and meeting deadlines
  • Team player with a collaborative approach
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, WaterGEMS, and SewerCAD is a plus
  • Effective utilization of common business platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, project management systems, etc.
  • Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary, which may include overnight stays
  • Valid US Driver’s License is required
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with engineering and design tasks related to water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and related infrastructure
  • Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and perform calculations to support design and permitting
  • Research regulatory requirements and prepare technical reports, supporting permit applications and approvals for agencies such as PADEP, EPA, and local authorities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce construction drawings, technical specifications, and related engineering documentation
  • Utilize engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, WaterGEMS, and SewerCAD for design and documentation
  • Perform construction observations, meet with clients and agency representatives, and monitor work progress on project sites
