Working out of our Beorne, Texas office, this staff geologist position earns a competitive salary, depending on experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Hydrogeology
  • Zero to two years of environmental-related work experience
  • Ability to work outdoors, traverse moderate terrain and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Technical writing competency
  • Strong technical and computer skills
  • Self-starter, quick learner and effective communication skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Provide support on a range of environmental projects including: Water & Wastewater monitoring and operations; Emergency Response; Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments; soil and groundwater characterization; air sampling; remediation system operation and maintenance; lithologic logging and well construction monitoring; biological surveys and water resources activities.
  • Conduct field work to drive project execution and ensure that appropriate health and safety procedures are being followed.
  • Interact regularly with local clientele and contractors.
  • Keep up on all administrative responsibilities.
  • Provide accurate data to our Senior and Associate Scientists.
  • Prepare daily reports.
  • Ensuring that clients are happy as well as that all jobs are delivered on-time, within the scope, and on-budget.
