Staff Frontend Engineer
About The Position
The Staff Frontend Engineer will own core mobile and web application surfaces for a high-growth fintech and Web3 technology company serving over two million users. The role leads frontend initiatives such as launching new order types, supporting additional asset classes including perpetuals and prediction markets, and expanding social features. The engineer will architect and deliver frontend work across a mobile application built with Expo and a web application built with React Router and Vite. Working with a lean engineering team, the role focuses on scalable, secure, and performant interfaces, while allowing contributions across the stack, including TypeScript backend services, when useful. The engineer independently turns strategic product goals into technical plans and executes them in a fast-paced, in-person environment at the client’s SoHo office in New York City.
Requirements
- Staff-level engineering background.
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep understanding and hands-on mastery of React and modern frontend ecosystems.
- Proven ability to independently design, plan, and deliver complex engineering initiatives from concept to launch.
- Willingness to work in person at the client’s office in SoHo, New York City.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience building applications in the crypto ecosystem, particularly in Solana or EVM environments.
- Familiarity with TypeScript backend environments.
- Familiarity or experience with AI-native workflows and agentic development tools.
- Personal familiarity with or interest in cryptocurrency trading.
Responsibilities
- Lead and architect frontend development across the mobile application built with Expo and the web application built with React Router and Vite.
- Design, build, and deploy features including advanced order types, integrations for additional financial asset classes, and social functionalities.
- Collaborate with a lean, specialized engineering team to deliver scalable, secure, and performant user interfaces.
- Contribute across the technical stack, including TypeScript-based backend services, as needed.
- Independently translate strategic product goals into technical plans and execute them efficiently.
