About The Position

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Owego, NY is seeking a full-time Staff Firmware Engineer (FPGA Design) with Modeling and Simulation experience and knowledge. In this role, you will support design and architecture development, implement FPGA designs and integrate and troubleshoot designs. You will also be involved for the innovation and deployment of algorithms, requirements, and modeling for EW systems related military and space applications. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7 years of professional experience; or 5 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
  • FPGA architecture and design, with applied knowledge of either the Intel, Xilinx or Microchip FPGA devices and their associated application environments.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, using current technology such as FPGAs, Microprocessors, DSPs, and Interface Controllers.
  • Working knowledge of Digital signal processing, and modeling (MATLAB or Python).
  • Extensive System Verilog/Verilog/VHDL firmware programming capability, and having applied that knowledge on an FPGA device (Intel, Xilinx, Microchip).
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
