We have an immediate opening in our Alameda, West Sacramento, or San Jose, California office for a Staff or Senior Staff-Level Environmental Professional to assist with various field and office tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER training.
  • Experience in environmental-related work, including field tasks such as: Site reconnaissance, Soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling, Borehole logging, Monitoring well installation, Air monitoring, Coordination and oversight of subcontractors, Preparation of daily field reports.
  • Experience with office-based project tasks, including: Data compilation, Review and assimilation of historical information and environmental databases, Assisting with report preparation and project documentation, Phone and email coordination with subcontractors and vendors, Phone and email coordination with site owners/users for interviews and discussions, Management of project tasks and task budgets.
  • Strong foundational writing skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ASTM E1527-21 and ASTM E1903-11 standards.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with support teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Other certifications and registrations a plus.
  • Experience working on construction sites.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting various field tasks comprised of site reconnaissance, soil and groundwater sampling, borehole logging, well installation, air monitoring, coordination and oversight of subcontractor.
  • Preparing daily field reports.
  • Various office tasks comprised of data compilation, review and assimilation of historic information and environmental databases.
  • Assisting with report preparation and other project documents.
  • Phone/email contact/coordination with subcontractors/vendors.
  • Phone/email contact related to interviews and discussions with site owner/users.
  • Management of tasks and task budgets.
