About The Position

Geo-Logic Associates (GLA) is a privately-held, multidisciplinary, geologic, geotechnical, hydrogeologic, civil, and environmental consulting firm. Our highly experienced professionals manage projects through 30 US office locations and an office in Peru. GLA is currently seeking a part-time or full-time Staff Environmental Professional to provide support for environmental due diligence, site characterization, and environmental remediation projects. Office Location: St. Charles, Illinois Ideally, the applicant will have a well-rounded background in the earth sciences and geology and will be able to work collaboratively with GLA professionals across all offices and disciplines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience is desired
Knowledge of IEPA Site Remediation Program and Leaking Underground Storage Tank programs
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Comfort speaking with clients and regulators, and possession of strong presentation skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Self-starter and problem solver
Be eligible to work in the United States
Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurer

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in relevant field preferred, but not mandatory

Responsibilities

Coordinating and performing field investigation programs that frequently include management of subsurface exploration subcontractors, soil sample collection, borehole logging, monitoring well installation, groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, and subsurface characterization.
Conducting field and report preparation activities relating to Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments,
Routinely working with state regulatory oversight agencies across the country
Assisting in the preparation of proposals,
Ability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, site plans, and aerial maps, and
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, clients and employees.
