Requirements

• A track record of technical leadership at scale, ideally with Staff/Principal-level experience (or Senior engineers clearly operating at that level).
• Strong systems thinking — ability to zoom out to architecture and zoom into a gnarly bug with equal ease.
• Excellent communication; ability to influence without relying on authority.
• A bias toward pragmatic solutions over perfect ones.
• Genuine curiosity and a track record of continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Setting technical direction across a domain or set of teams.
• Diving into the hardest, most ambiguous problems and driving them to a clean solution.
• Raising the bar on engineering practices, including architecture, code quality, testing, and operational rigor.
• Mentoring senior engineers and helping them grow.
• Partnering closely with product and engineering leadership to shape roadmaps and technical strategy.
• Writing code when it matters, and knowing when not to.
