About The Position

NexusOne is seeking a Staff Engineer to set technical direction across a domain or set of teams, dive into the hardest, most ambiguous problems and drive them to a clean solution, raise the bar on engineering practices (architecture, code quality, testing, operational rigor), mentor senior engineers, partner closely with product and engineering leadership to shape roadmaps and technical strategy, and write code when it matters. The company is a converged data platform for the AI era, built on an open-source foundation and AI-native from the ground up. NexusOne processes significant amounts of data for major clients in the financial and telecommunications sectors. The company is growing rapidly, backed by Insight Partners, and is comprised of over 100 people across the US and India.

Requirements

• A track record of technical leadership at scale, ideally with Staff/Principal-level experience (or Senior engineers clearly operating at that level)
• Strong systems thinking — you can zoom out to architecture and zoom into a gnarly bug with equal ease
• Excellent communication; you can influence without relying on authority
• A bias toward pragmatic solutions over perfect ones
• Genuine curiosity and a track record of continuous learning
