The Thousand Oaks office specifically houses a team of experienced environmental professionals working on diverse environmental, water resources, and stormwater projects in a fast-paced environment. They are seeking a Staff Engineer to support their environmental teams in Southern California, performing both field and office duties for projects of varying complexity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
  • Strong technical communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in the field
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and understanding of safe work practices
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass strict security background checks required for military/federal projects
  • Ability to pass required medical evaluation and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • EIT certification preferred
  • HAZWOPER certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support soil and groundwater remediation projects.
  • Oversee field operations and maintenance (O&M) of remediation systems including groundwater and soil vapor extraction.
  • Perform collection of soil, water, and air samples for O&M purposes.
  • Assist with project engineering design.
  • Oversee field work to ensure work is done in accordance with work plans and other plans and specifications.
  • Work with construction staff in support of the installation of remediation systems.
  • Provide support and oversight of field technicians related to O&M.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret O&M data.
  • Write technical reports.
  • Review laboratory analytical data related to remediation system operation.
  • Support with permitting and ensuring compliance of remediation system operation.
