About The Position

Braun Intertec is seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Staff Engineer to join our St. Cloud office. This role involves performing various field and laboratory tests, working independently on specific assignments of limited scope, and collaborating with engineers on larger projects. The Staff Engineer will prepare proposals for geotechnical and material testing projects, manage basic geotechnical and material testing projects, and maintain client communications to build client relations. Responsibilities include developing solutions, making recommendations, and preparing engineering reports for review. The role also involves observing construction in progress and reporting to the project engineer, with the goal of gaining experience relevant to obtaining a Professional Engineer license.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Perform field related services at least 50% of time
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 75 lbs. periodically
• Travel up to 25% of time
• Prior professional consulting experience desired, up to four years
• Geotechnical experience preferred
• Proficiency in field-testing & report writing experience
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with geotechnical, materials emphasis, or related
• Possess EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
