About The Position

Outpost is an AI-native marketing company focused entirely on Reddit. We make brands the most recommended name in the communities where their buyers decide what to buy. Our work involves joining conversations happening across a brand's space and building the brand a home of its own by setting up, growing, and running a subreddit until it becomes their community. Our platform handles monitoring, prioritization, drafting, and measurement. We operate with a white-hat, fully open approach, representing brands openly and earning attention by being useful in relevant conversations. We do not use fake accounts or pretend to be someone we are not.

Requirements

• Staff-level full stack engineering experience.
• Proven experience designing, shipping, and owning production systems end-to-end.
• Production LLM experience (not just demos), including practical knowledge of evals, retries, cost, and latency.
• Experience with infrastructure ownership, including cloud, data, and deploys.
• Ability to work independently and carry significant responsibility.

Nice To Haves

• Reddit nativeness, including years as an active Redditor, experience moderating or growing communities, or building on the Reddit API.

Responsibilities

• Design, ship, and own production systems end-to-end.
• Develop and maintain production LLM systems, considering evals, retries, cost, and latency in practice.
• Own cloud infrastructure, data management, and deployment processes.
• Build product features that support the delivery process by reducing the time spent by marketers on clients, surfacing relevant threads, learning subreddit cultures, drafting in brand voices, and providing quality checks and operational tooling.
• Develop product features that allow customers to directly interact with the channel, providing insights into buyer sentiment, competitive positioning, the impact of content on search positions and AI citations, and actionable next steps.
