This role involves designing and developing high-performance test solutions and methods for Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) such as accelerometers and gyroscopes. The engineer will be responsible for first silicon verification, characterization, qualification, and manufacturing of precision digital and mixed-signal products. Key duties include designing, developing, and debugging cost-effective, multi-site test hardware/software solutions for wafer probe and final test, defining calibration methods for Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) product parameters, and implementing methods for testing, evaluating, and troubleshooting systems throughout product development and manufacturing. The role also requires defining test schematics, working with layout engineers on PCB design, debugging test programs, correlating production test solutions to engineering measurements, and transferring these solutions to manufacturing. Post-production release, the engineer will support manufacturing to maintain yield and quality, resolve product and test issues, and participate in new product development teams. This includes evaluating new test systems, defining methods to specify and guarantee key test parameters for MEMS devices and IMUs, and collaborating with Design and Systems/Applications teams on Design for Test plans. The Staff Engineer will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and oversee project schedules aligned with product introduction. A partial telecommute benefit (2 days/week work from home) is offered.
