About The Position

Responsible for analyzing customer requirements, converting them into system requirements, and capturing detailed design for the development team. This role will aid in product & feature performance analysis and the evaluation of new product & SW releases. The engineer will perform detailed analysis of 4G/5G distributed and virtualized RAN, Network Management solution, and professional services, focusing on Wireless Call Protocols. Responsibilities include analyzing and troubleshooting issues, providing subject matter expert technical support in the pre-sales process, and creating compelling technical and commercial solutions to achieve sales goals and business objectives. The role involves translating and communicating complex technical design considerations between the Samsung sales team and carriers' network business, and working closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross-functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product rollouts and developments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
• 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or any telecom/engineer related job titles.
• 5 years of experience in RAN Virtualization and EMS experience.
• 5 years of experience in telecom software architecture, design, deployment, and End to End (E2E) service integration.
• 5 years of experience Authoring EMS network element (NE) software upgrade method of procedures (MOPs) and working with the customer to execute MOPs in commercial networks.
• 5 years of experience in Tier3 support, including troubleshooting the commercial RAN, NMS/EMS application issues, providing work-arounds to the customer to reboot system, working with R&D, and providing the root cause analysis (RCA) to the customer.
• 5 years of experience in Virtualization technologies, including ETSI MANO, Orchestrator, VNF Manager, Virtual Infrastructure Manager, and ECOMP/ONAP modules.
• 5 years of experience in OpenStack (Virtualization) Platform Services, managing Openshift/Kubernetes environments.
• 5 years of experience in Netconf protocol, YANG models and Restful API’s.
• 5 years of experience in 3GPP systems, including Core and RAN networks, architecture and protocols.
• 5 years of experience in High Availability and redundancy systems.
