Engineer III, System Structure Design

Samsung ElectronicsPlano, TX
Onsite

About The Position

This role is responsible for the continuous improvement of LTE RAN network performance by evaluating and trending key performance indicators and performance trials. The position involves troubleshooting and issue resolution in Samsung 4G and 5G products to ensure all issues during new site deployment or site swap are addressed within pre-defined SLAs. It also includes ensuring end-to-end performance assurance for Samsung's 4G and 5G products (DU, RU, CU, and AU) to meet customer network design compliance. The role requires conducting trials, tuning parameters for network performance improvement, and presenting findings with detailed reports. Additionally, it involves developing product and feature requirements, conducting deep-dive customer sessions on 4G/5G call-processing and air interface technologies, and leading technical discussions on Samsung products and scheduler features with customer organizations. The engineer will analyze and troubleshoot scheduler-related issues, perform issue resolution in multi-vendor deployments across various interfaces (Open CPRI, S1-MME, S1-U, X2 IOT), and conduct RCA reviews. Collaboration with HQ development and other teams is crucial for issue resolution and requirement compliance. The position requires presenting technical ideas effectively, authoring technical proposals, research, white papers, and operator network designs, while ensuring customer commitments are met. Close collaboration with support organizations, logistics, and cross-functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ is necessary to achieve network performance goals.
