About The Position

The Staff Duty Bus Driver is responsible for operating a minibus or van to transport clients, trainees, or company personnel, as well as transporting luggage and personal belongings using box trucks and stake beds. This role involves driving vehicles according to assigned missions, communicating with a base station, maintaining the vehicle, keeping records, and performing other duties like custodial and building maintenance when not driving. The driver must be capable of operating 15 to 26 passenger minibuses or vans and Stake Bed/Box trucks up to 5 tons.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Class A or B Commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement
• DOT medical evaluation card
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Multi-task oriented
• Must be 21 years old.
• Must have an acceptable driving record (7 year)
• Must have proficient English verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Ft. Bliss and state driving regulations.
• Must be familiar with Ft. Bliss, McGregor, Dona Ana and Oro Grande footprints.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC access, to include network access.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain post driving privileges.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with/for the US Military, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicle from individual or central loading area to social services or rehabilitation center, medical centers, training location, job site, travel centers, or other destination according to assigned mission.
• Operate radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report drop off, pick up and disruption of service.
• Clean and/or service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories
• Keep records of trips and/or behavior of passengers
• Perform other duties when not driving such as, custodial and building maintenance tasks.
• Must be able to operate 15 to 26 passengers’ minibus or van.
• Must be able to operate a Stake Bed/ Box truck up to 5 tons.
