Requirements

High school Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training.
Must maintain a valid state CDL Class A driver's license with a minimum of one-year successful experience safely driving straight bodied trucks and/or tractor-trailer combinations without an accident. (no restrictions).
Must have Tanker Endorsement or be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
Required to drive manual transmission.
Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.
Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts during weather events to meet the customer’s mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physically capable of lifting 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
Hazmat endorsements preferred.
Experience operating a semi-truck preferred.
Vactor Truck experience is a plus willing to train.

Responsibilities

Operation of a combination of equipment including street sweepers, tractors with trailer, Vactor trucks and dump trucks.
Loading of general construction equipment including skid steer, excavators, back hoes and vertical lifts as required after training.
Assist Heavy Equipment Operators and other departments with hauling materials.
Run Vactor trucks to assist other shops and complete tasks required of the Heavy Department.
Snow removal during the snow season.
Periodic on-call scheduling.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
