Staff Development RN
About The Position
The Providence Park Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Mobile, AL is currently seeking a Staff Development Coordinator (RN). This role is responsible for directing in-service educational programs in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times. The position involves assisting in developing, establishing and maintaining objectives, policies, procedures and in-service training programs in each department, maintaining reports, class attendance records and subject records. The coordinator will also assist in coordinating and conducting employee training, in-services and educating staff regarding nursing policies and procedures, and new-hire orientations. The role encourages staff participation and involvement through proper communication and presentation of programs, and assists staff in understanding their duties and improving their performance by identifying, correcting and improving problem areas and services.
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Nurse licensed by the State of Alabama
- Must have two years supervisory previous experience and training staff
- Must have knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulation and guidelines governing long-term care
- Must have good communication skills, both verbally and written
- Must have a positive attitude toward the elderly
