Through a full complement of physical, occupational, and speech-language therapies, highly-skilled nursing care, and physician-driven programs, Apple Rehab Colchester offers a comprehensive rehabilitation program. The Memory Care Program at Apple Rehab Colchester provides a holistic approach to care for patients and families coping with Alzheimer’s and dementia-related disorders. Apple Rehab is a family-owned and operated company that treats residents and staff like family. The RN Registered Nurse Staff Educator plans, controls, and executes the implementation of new hire orientation and ongoing training programs for all personnel to ensure the maintenance and continuity of a high standard of services throughout the facility. This role requires cooperation, teamwork, patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards residents and their support networks. The Staff Educator coordinates mandatory in-service requirements for all facility staff and provides education on an as-needed basis for all shifts and departments.

Requirements

• Must hold a current state RN license and be a nurse in good standing.
• Must meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements.
• Ability to supervise and instruct others.
• Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative, and infection control requirements, OSHA laws and regulations, nursing and medical practices, and guidelines governing long term care.

Nice To Haves

• Attention to detail, good follow through skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility.
