The Staff Development Coordinator RN is responsible for ensuring employees receive necessary compliance training and education to perform their job responsibilities in accordance with the Avamere Code of Business Conduct. This role oversees the competency evaluation process for new clinical department personnel, plans and implements ongoing education and training programs for licensed nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel, and develops educational curricula to meet state, federal, and accreditation requirements. The coordinator also develops and maintains education calendars, provides hands-on instruction and coaching, coordinates CPR training, and ensures clinical competency of nursing staff through observed skills evaluation and annual assessments. Additionally, this role develops and facilitates orientation programs for all facility personnel, including general, clinical, and contract personnel, and assists with the nursing admission process when needed.
