About The Position

This role is responsible for managing the professional development program in a long-term care and sub-acute care/skilled nursing/short-term rehabilitation setting. The Staff Development Coordinator RN will assist with onboarding and training new staff, training and facilitation of existing staff, rolling out new compliance and regulatory training, and ensuring the center remains in compliance with all regulatory, credentialing, and educational requirements. Requirements

  • Associate's degree or above in Nursing (ASN) required.
  • Clear and active Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in the state of practice required.
  • Two (2+) years' nursing experience required.
  • CDC - IPCO Certification required or must be willing to complete within 5 days of employment.
  • 2 or more years’ experience in health care field, teaching, or training and development.
  • Registered Nurse
  • Infection Prevention and Control Officer Certification or complete IPCO training and certification within 5 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior long-term or short-term Rehab / sub-acute care experience.
  • Clinical Education experience.
  • Staff Development experience.
  • Charge Nurse experience.
  • Nursing Mentor experience.
  • Long-Term Care or SNF Nursing experience OR Clinical Education and Staff Development experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the professional development program in a long-term care and sub-acute care/skilled nursing/short-term rehabilitation setting.

  • Overseeing communication of privacy guidelines relative to the confidentiality of residents' protected health information.
  • Participating in (or conducting) company-sponsored training to safeguard against improper use and disclosure of protected health information.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and state and federal law.
