About The Position
Join our dedicated team at Seaside Health Care Center, part of Atlantic Shores, as a Staff Development and Infection Preventionist RN. This unique role combines leadership in staff training with oversight of infection prevention and control programs, ensuring exceptional care and a safe environment for residents and staff. We prioritize mission-driven care and a collaborative environment. This position supports both skilled nursing and assisted living settings, working closely with the Director of Nursing.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Virginia
- Experience in infection prevention, staff training, or quality improvement preferred.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or willingness to obtain within one year.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering training programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging staff education programs, including CNA training, new hire orientation, and ongoing in-services.
- Lead our infection prevention program, including tracking trends, conducting audits, and providing training to staff.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Stay ahead of regulatory requirements to maintain compliance and foster a culture of safety.
- Support both skilled nursing and assisted living settings, working closely with the Director of Nursing.
