About The Position

Webflow is hiring a Staff Data Engineer to own and drive initiatives across Data Platform Engineering, including the data lake, event instrumentation, data quality, and data governance. This remote-first role is based in the United States, is full-time and permanent, and reports to the Manager, Data Engineering. The role designs solutions for batch, streaming, and real-time workloads; builds reliable pipelines and cloud data infrastructure; and helps evolve the data lake and platform’s ingestion, processing, storage, and serving patterns. It also advances data quality, observability, reliability, governance, event standards, and privacy capabilities that support GDPR and CCPA requirements. The engineer will contribute hands-on to complex initiatives, troubleshoot production issues, mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and develop AI agent harnesses that help encode data engineering standards and quality gates into development workflows. The position offers geographic-zone-based U.S. base salary ranges: Zone A, $212,500–$255,000; Zone B, $200,000–$240,000; and Zone C, $186,500–$224,000. Compensation within a zone depends on location and job-related qualifications. The role is also eligible for the company-wide bonus program. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is closed and filled; this posting is for an existing vacancy.
