We are frequently retained by law firms, insurance companies, and manufacturers to answer complex technical questions on projects ranging from small, focused investigations to large-scale, high-profile losses. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
E.I.T. (Engineer-in-Training) or ability to obtain P.E. license required
0–5 years of experience in electrical engineering, consulting, or related field.
Foundational knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE) and electrical system design.
Interest in forensic consulting and willingness to develop expertise in litigation support.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with electrical engineering analysis or design software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Must be available to travel occasionally as part of the national practice.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred.
P.E. license preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with field investigations of electrical systems, equipment failures, and related electrical engineering matters.
Performs engineering analysis under supervision and applies knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, OSHA).
Assists in the preparation of high-quality technical reports.
Supports deposition and trial preparation; may provide testimony as experience develops.
Assists in conducting client presentations.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical support and gather information.
Seeks technical advice and guidance from more experienced consultants.
Participates in continuing education and professional development activities.
Supports Business Development activities as appropriate.
