About The Position

Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector is seeking an experienced Staff Cloud and DevOps Engineer to plan and evolve processes and infrastructure supporting rapid capability maturation and deployment. The position may be based in Aurora, Colorado; Morrisville, North Carolina; or Sacramento, California. The engineer will work on an Agile development team to build and maintain automated deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management capabilities. This includes developing CI/CD pipelines and standards; automating infrastructure provisioning and management; supporting delivery environments; and monitoring and maintaining systems. The role also contributes to operational support system design, security and backup strategies, system administration, and application performance improvements. Relocation assistance may be available. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance and an active CI Polygraph at application, as well as the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.

Requirements

United States citizenship is required.
Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at application, current and within scope, and be able to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
Must have an active U.S. Government CI Polygraph at application, current and within scope.
Bachelor’s degree with 12 or more years of relevant experience; master’s degree with 10 or more years; Ph.D. with 8 or more years; or 9 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Must have experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
Current Security+ certification.
Administration experience with Linux or related operating systems.
Experience in an Agile software development framework.
Experience with at least three preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

Plan and evolve processes and infrastructure to execute programs supporting rapid capability maturation and deployment.
Integrate development pipelines using automation, test-driven development tools, and continuous integration and test frameworks.
Define and implement program standards for builds, deployments, provisioning, and monitoring.
Ensure implementation of software configuration management, code quality, code coverage, and automated testing in CI/CD pipelines.
Work as part of an Agile development team to deliver end-to-end automation for deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
Build and configure delivery environments that support CI/CD tools using an Agile delivery methodology.
Create scripts and templates to automate infrastructure provisioning and management tasks.
Work with development teams to create automated continuous integration and continuous delivery systems.
Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve problems.
Monitor and support installed systems and infrastructure.
Develop custom scripts to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Contribute to the design of information and operational support systems.
Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
Oversee security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
Evaluate application performance, identify potential bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement them with developers.
