About The Position

Counseling and Mental Health Services (CMHS), a department within the Division of Student Health, operates as a unified service across the Boston, Grafton, SMFA, and Medford sites. The Grafton site serves the in-person needs of over 500 professional students on the Grafton Health Science Campus and supports through virtual means the needs of over 3,000 professional students on the Boston Health Science campus and the Maine medical track. The Boston site serves the in-person needs of approximately 2,500 professional students on the Boston Health Sciences Campus, supports through virtual means the needs of roughly 400 medical students in the Maine medical track, and provides back-up virtual support for the Grafton Campus. CMHS contributes to the university's educational mission through various activities devoted to prevention, intervention, and consultation related to mental health needs. The department is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and culturally informed environment. We are a multicultural team with an ongoing focus on deepening our understanding of the intersectional identities of all members of our community. We bring energy and a collaborative approach to the provision of brief, goal-oriented short-term counseling and psychiatric services.
