About The Position

First Security Bank is seeking a professional, energetic, and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Staff Auditor! In this role, you will perform audit testing to assess internal controls, operational efficiency, compliance, risk management, and governance processes. This position requires on-site work.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, typing, 10-key, and utilization of the internet is required.
Commitment to demonstrating First Security's Core 5 values with customers and coworkers.
Ability to hold a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle that can be used for business travel purposes.

Strong attention to detail with knowledge of accounting principles, auditing practices, and financial systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop a working knowledge of internal auditing, including internal controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Conduct scheduled financial and operational audits using internal bank systems and software.
Analyze bank and audit data to plan and perform audit testing.
Assist in identifying, documenting, and summarizing audit findings and discrepancies; provide clear, logical recommendations for correcting discrepancies.
Support independent auditors and regulatory examiners during audits and examinations as assigned.
Identify, prevent, and detect fraudulent activity.
Effectively prioritize projects, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and proactively identify and address business needs.
Protect all customer information and bank operations through strict confidentiality.
Operate computer software and equipment, telephone, scanner, and copier, and develop proficiency with internal banking systems.
Maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and punctual attendance.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
