About The Position

The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates (The League) is looking to hire a full-time Staff Auditor for the Credit Union Audit Group. This role involves traveling to different credit unions to conduct cash counts, complete interim and annual reports, and perform compliance audits. Staff Auditors ensure credit union operations and procedures are correct and comply with the law by performing highly technical audits and management analysis. The role also includes assisting with technical problems, attending conferences and training sessions for credit union personnel, supervisory committees, and credit union boards, while promoting LEVERAGE products and services to generate leads and referrals. Supporting credit union employees, officers, and committee members to be successful in their processes is a key component of this role. The Credit Union Audit Group is a sub-company under LEVERAGE, committed to delivering high-quality audit and compliance solutions tailored to the unique needs of credit unions. The Staff Auditor will be required to maintain relationships with federal and state supervisory agencies, while keeping a record of all work contacts, activities, and expense reports in NetSuite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or on track to obtain bachelor's degree in accounting within three months of hire.
  • Six to twelve months of general accounting experience, including knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and methods.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to state/federal credit unions and the ability to detect violations and non-compliance of state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Must live locally or be willing to relocate to Tennessee.

Nice To Haves

  • Credit Union experience a plus.
  • CUCE and BSACS designations preferred; or must be obtained within 24 months.

Responsibilities
