About The Position

As a staff level attorney, the incumbent is expected to handle various legal assignments of varying legal complexity. Under the supervision of the Division Chief, the First Assistant or Section Head, the incumbent drafts division-level legal advice, provides day to day legal representation for various state agencies, boards, commissions, officers, and employees, including representation in administrative proceedings and in state and federal courts.

Requirements

• Possession of a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law.
• Membership in good standing in the Michigan State Bar.
• Four years of post-bar admission legal experience (for Attorney-Senior 16 level).
• Attach a Cover Letter, Resume and Official Transcripts to the Attachments Section of your application.

Responsibilities

• Drafts division-level legal advice.
