About The Position
Gwinnett County Superior Court Division 1 is seeking a Staff Attorney to assist the Judge by conducting legal research, analysis, and document preparation related to cases, statutes, records, and related information.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate
- Five years of experience as an attorney
- Member in good standing with the Georgia Bar
- Admitted to practice in the Superior Courts of Georgia, The Court of Appeals for the State of Georgia and the Georgia Supreme Court, and other courts as necessary.

- Prior Law Clerk or Judicial Staff Attorney experience
Responsibilities
- Performing and analyzing legal research
- Analyzing pleadings (mostly motions and briefs) and making recommendations regarding dispositions
- Drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents
- Supporting the Court during conferences, motions hearings, and trials
- Providing exceptional customer service when interacting with law enforcement personnel, county employees, elected officials, the general public, and/or other interested parties
- Maintaining the Rules of Professional Conduct
- Completing other relevant duties as directed by the Judge
