Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or an equivalent technical degree is required.
  • Prior experience in the HVAC industry, specifically with technical sales or application engineering, is essential
  • Professional fluency in both Korean and English (written and verbal) is mandatory for HQ communication.
  • This position may require working outside of standard business hours (overtime) to support urgent sales projects and meet strict deadlines
  • Availability for some domestic and international travel is required to support field activities, attend headquarters training, and visit client sites. Travel frequency will vary based on project demands and business requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily HVAC technical analysis and application support for sales opportunities and project proposals to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction in West Regional (Office Location : Orange, California)
  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittal documents to ensure proper equipment application and strict compliance with design requirements.
  • Ensure all product applications and system designs strictly adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements, including DOE, AHRI, UL, and local building codes, to guarantee safety and performance compliance.
  • Prepare detailed equipment proposals, system selections, and technical recommendations based on specific project conditions and engineering requirements.
  • Act as the primary technical resource for the Western Region, providing advanced support on HVAC equipment selection, system design, and application engineering to sales teams, contractors, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) consulting engineers.
  • Ensure all proposed HVAC solutions and system designs strictly comply with Western US specific regulations, energy codes, and environmental standards (e.g., California Title 24, ultra-low NOx requirements, and local decarbonization mandates).
  • Resolve high-level technical escalations, performance issues, and field challenges for installed equipment across the territory, coordinating with R&D and quality teams when necessary.
  • Conduct high-impact technical presentations, product demonstrations, and "Lunch & Learn" sessions for key accounts, design firms, and channel partners to influence specifications and secure project wins.
  • Act as the technical eyes and ears of the Western Region. Gather and synthesize market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive landscape data to advise the Product Management team on future product development.
  • Assist in the creation and localized adaptation of technical literature, application guides, submittals, and case studies that highlight successful regional applications.
  • Conduct technical seminars and webinars (both virtual and face-to-face) for internal Sales teams, Reps, Engineers, and Contractors to disseminate product knowledge and simplify the application of LG systems.
  • Develop and deliver educational content that empowers stakeholders to effectively design and sell LG solutions, ensuring the market is up-to-date on the latest technologies and installation best practices.
  • Provide bilingual (Korean/English) technical communication to facilitate seamless HQ coordination, field support, and resolution of complex customer inquiries.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports to HQ, detailing market trends, project status, technical issues, and sales activities.
  • Diagnose application issues and coordinate directly with HQ engineering for root‑cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities in close collaboration with HQ and subsidiary engineering teams to ensure successful market launches.
  • Develop and share estimated equipment quotes with key internal and external stakeholders to support accurate project planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Create technical sales tools and application resources to significantly improve sales and field team effectiveness in the market.
  • Provide flexible support for sales and project activities, which may require overtime to meet critical deadlines, handle urgent inquiries, or support peak business periods.
