Staff Applications Engineer
About The Position
As part of Marvell's Optical DSP application engineering group, you will work with state-of-art technology enabling next generation AI and datacenter applications at major cloud customers. The ever-growing demand for higher bandwidth, lower power, and smaller footprint driven by AI, cloud services, video streaming, and 5G wireless megatrends requires advanced solutions. Marvell's field-proven Optical DSPs offer an ideal solution for high-speed optical interconnects in cloud data centers and carrier networks. As part of the systems application team, you will be working on one or more of the areas listed above.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s with 3–5 years, or Master’s with 2–4 years of relevant experience
- Basic understanding of high speed PAM4 & NRZ signaling
- Hands-on experience with high-speed optical/electrical measurements
- Proficiency in C and Python
- Ability to rootcause and debug system level issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice To Haves
- Solid understanding of digital signal processing (DSP), analog circuits, and system hardware
- Hands-on lab experience with strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Proactively & efficiently support Marvell's Optical PAM4 DSP products
- Own and drive customer issues to resolution
- Act as the interface between the customer and Marvell to resolve technical issues
- Requires collaboration with field application engineers and line managers to gather and communicate customer needs to marketing and engineering
