About The Position

This role involves designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining high-quality Android applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and performant. The developer will collaborate with engineering technical leadership to define architectural direction and ensure alignment with strategic technical goals. A key aspect of this position is to lead mobile Android development efforts, ensuring adherence to established coding standards and best practices. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with product management teams to define requirements and assess technical feasibility, clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and providing realistic estimates for development tasks to aid in sprint and release planning. A critical responsibility is ensuring all software development complies with relevant healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA and data protection guidelines, by documenting technical implementations and maintaining comprehensive records for compliance and audits. The developer will also proactively identify and mitigate compliance and security risks within the software design and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 4+ years of experience developing high-quality mobile applications for Android platforms
  • At least 2 years of experience serving in a lead mobile Android developer role, with proven capability in technical leadership and mentorship.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one primary mobile development language: Kotlin (preferred) or Java.
  • Proven ability to independently drive technical projects from conception to deployment.

  • Prior experience developing mobile applications within the healthcare industry
  • Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter)
  • Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
