About The Position

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Staff Analytics Engineer in San Mateo, California. The role designs and implements curated analytics data products (gold datasets) with clear ownership, versioning, and governed definitions to support multiple stakeholder groups. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent.
Six years of experience serving as an analytics/business intelligence engineer.
Experience performing comprehensive data analysis of functional and business requisites using Python, SQL, Tableau, MicroStrategy, and Databricks.
Experience collaborating with data scientists and engineering groups to ensure seamless and accurate data processing.
Experience developing data modeling strategies and operationalizing experiment designs and KPIs to refine data models.
Experience conducting statistical analyses of operational and technical challenges using input from end-users and partner teams.
Experience using advanced Data Science approaches to devise and oversee experiments that enhance model performance and generate recommendations.
Experience leading scalable BI solution development with platforms such as MicroStrategy and Tableau, including semantic layers or data modeling and reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead development of scalable BI solutions using platforms including MicroStrategy and Tableau, from semantic-layer or data-model development through reporting.
