About The Position

Klarity is seeking a Staff AI Product Designer who bridges the gap between product design and frontend engineering. This role is for a designer first, with the technical skills and AI tools to bring designs to life in production code. The designer will define and build the look and feel of AI-native workflows, aiming to make complex enterprise tools as intuitive as consumer applications. The company values design portfolios, systems thinking, and a track record of shipping over formal degrees.

Requirements

  • Product designer with a strong visual and interaction foundation.
  • Experience designing complex software products.
  • Proficiency in design tools and systems thinking (Figma, design systems, component libraries, interaction patterns).
  • Ability to think in systems and understand how components form cohesive experiences at scale.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Replit) to translate concepts into working prototypes.
  • Obsession with micro-interactions, transitions, spacing, color, and accessibility.
  • Understanding of the unique challenges of building with LLMs, including designing for non-determinism and creating intuitive UX patterns for cutting-edge AI.
  • User-centered and outcome-driven approach, grounding design decisions in research and feedback.
  • Ability to own the end-to-end experience from sketch to ship.
  • Ability to advocate for users while balancing business and technical constraints.

Nice To Haves

  • Learned to code or are actively learning to code to ship designs without relying on a backlog.

Responsibilities

  • Own the primary user-facing features, defining the visual language, interaction patterns, and user flows for core product features, and shipping them to production.
  • Build and evolve the design system, creating reusable component libraries compatible with both Figma and code.
  • Establish patterns for layouts, interactions, and visual hierarchy for team leverage, ensuring platform consistency and flexibility.
  • Bridge AI capabilities with intuitive experiences by partnering with product and engineering to design interfaces that simplify complex AI functionalities.
