This position is responsible for various accounting tasks including checking figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. The role involves organizing, securing, and maintaining all files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures. Responsibilities include recording, storing, accessing, and analyzing computerized financial information, as well as classifying, coding, and summarizing numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records. The position also entails preparing, maintaining, auditing, and distributing statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables, completing period-end closing procedures and reports, and responding to or resolving questions, issues, or disputes from Marriott's Shared Service Center/guests. Additionally, the role requires processing customer tax exemptions following government regulations and reviewing, reconciling, and processing credit card vouchers and advance deposits, as well as monitoring and auditing gift certificate and incentive award redemption activity. The employee must follow all company policies and procedures, maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect company assets, and ensure the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. This role also involves anticipating and addressing guests’ service needs, assisting other employees, speaking clearly and professionally, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately, answering telephones with appropriate etiquette, developing and maintaining positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and listening and responding appropriately to employee concerns. Physical requirements include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
