About The Position

The purpose of the Staff Accountant- Coggin Ford DeLand is to ensure an extraordinary client experience while creating client advocates and perform general accounting duties.

Requirements

  • High School or General Education Diploma (GED); and four years related dealership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company MVR policy requirements
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (background and drug test)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare extended warranty and credit life policy transmittals and payments
  • Maintain "Hot List" weekly
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Maintain monthly accounting reports
  • Reconcile assigned schedules
  • Prepare timely VIT tax report
  • Reconcile Financial Reserve Statements monthly and remit payment when necessary
  • Process and record incoming wire transfers
  • Identifies internal control issues by reviewing existing policies, verifying changes in authorized personnel, and communicating issues to the Assistant Controller
  • Know and understand the Park Place Privacy and Information Securities Policy and adhere to its requirements
  • Attens weekly department meetings
