About The Position

The Staff Accountant, Financial Reporting will primarily be responsible for supporting the timely, accurate, and consistent preparation of financial statements and reports required by the company, its external auditors, the SEC, and other regulatory authorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 1+ years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or a corporate accounting environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
  • Comfortable working with general ledger, consolidation, and financial reporting systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including accounting, tax, FP&A, legal, and external auditors

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Experience supporting SEC reporting, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K
  • Public accounting and/or Big 4 experience
  • CPA, CPA candidate, or actively pursuing CPA certification
  • Experience with Oracle, FCCS, or similar financial reporting and consolidation systems

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Manager of Financial Reporting to prepare and coordinate SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, XBRL, Proxy)
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes as they relate to external financial reporting
  • Consolidate financial information through Oracle/FCCS for reporting
  • Prepare and review reporting schedules, variance analyses, and account reconciliations supporting SEC filings and management reporting
  • Perform detailed tie-outs of financial statement footnotes and other external reporting materials
  • Prepare earnings release tables and assist with investor relations reporting
  • Participate in quarterly reviews and year-end audits, including preparation of audit support and coordination with external auditors
  • Assist in the evaluation and enhancement of financial reporting and internal controls and processes
  • Maintain compliance with financial reporting controls and documentation
  • Collaborate with accounting, FP&A, investor relations, legal, and operations teams
  • Support accounting research projects and preparation of disclosure documentation
  • Support government surveys, special projects, and ad hoc requests
