About The Position

This position will have a working knowledge of the transaction cycles and will be able to support functions such as Requisitioning, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger activities. This position will also work closely with IT and provide administrative support to the financial systems.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience (up to 3 years).
• 1+ years of progressively responsible experience in an accounting environment.
• Direct experience or exposure to governmental (enterprise) accounting.
• Familiarity with Governmental Accounting and Auditing Standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
• Strong computer skills.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Self-starter and ability to work autonomously.
• A history of working with Tribal governments or non-profit entities in this capacity is a requirement.

• Preferred accounting software program(s).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and complete account reconciliations and make adjusting entries as required.
• Process Accounts Payable as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.
