Staff Accountant
About The Position
Hosokawa provides size reduction systems and powder processing solutions for chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mineral, plastics and cosmetic applications. Throughout our history, we have led the industry in coarse to ultra-fine grinding, classification, mixing, drying, containment, compaction and analytical equipment. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting a variety of accounting functions, including responding to inquiries from operational departments, evaluating the financial impact of transactions, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and recordkeeping. This position plays an integral role in monthly and quarterly close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- 3+ years of month-end close and financial statements.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support the monthly close process for three companies.
- Perform daily banking activities and cash reconciliations.
- Crosstrain and provide support for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll functions.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations.
- Assist with external audit requests and J-SOX analysis activities.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
