About The Position

BHS Corrugated North America is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its Accounting team in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role supports accounting operations in a global manufacturing environment and offers exposure to multiple areas of accounting, with an emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The position follows a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remote, with travel of up to 20%. The preferred experience range is 1–3 years. The successful candidate will work with experienced professionals and contribute to a collaborative team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines, work independently, and collaborate across departments.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SAP and ADP.
• Manufacturing or multi-entity accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end close.
• Manage prepaid expenses, amortization schedules, and monthly accruals.
• Maintain fixed-asset records, depreciation schedules, and construction-in-process accounting.
• Post payroll journal entries from ADP and reconcile payroll accounts.
• Assist with financial reporting and account analysis, and identify discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and intercompany accounting as needed.
• Assist with internal and external audits and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Partner with the Tax Manager on tax-related reporting and compliance activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
