The Staff Accountant role is a detail-oriented position within the Finance team, responsible for supporting the monthly close process, account reconciliations, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment, gaining exposure to core accounting functions, collaborating cross-functionally, and contributing to process improvements as the organization scales.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience with accounting systems (experience with NetSuite, Workiva, and Blackline a plus) and strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work with geographically distributed teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in public accounting (Big 4 or top-tier firm)
  • Strong academic performance and demonstrated leadership
  • Internship experience in a fast-paced or multi-entity environment
  • CPA or progress toward CPA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger analyses.
  • Support the monthly and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Analyze financial results and investigate variances and trends.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with external audits and provide supporting documentation.
  • Be a versatile team player that can perform various tasks ranging from routine close procedures to ad-hoc projects, including providing support across various departments as well as for external requests (e.g. external audit).
  • Learn our system infrastructure and help identify ways to automate routine tasks using AI and modern accounting tools.
  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
