About The Position

We are seeking a detail oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting functions across a diverse client base. This role will be involved in month end close activities, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance, while also assisting with day- to-day transactional accounting. This is a fully remote position with a consistent workflow and clear expectations, offering the opportunity to develop strong technical accounting skills within a professional services environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience (public accounting experience preferred)
  • Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close
  • Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection
  • Dedicated workspace for focused work
  • Ability to participate in video meetings
  • Standard home office setup (dual monitors preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
  • Assist with month end and year end close processes
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Support preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense tracking
  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Support audit and tax preparation by providing required schedules and documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency
