Job Summary As a Staff Accountant at Jabil, Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multinational environment.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial records.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing financial statements.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
  • Process payroll-related transactions.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
