About The Position

The Staff Accountant will be a key player in ensuring the financial health and accuracy of our operations. Responsibilities include general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, financial reporting, and cost analysis. The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting background, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will contribute directly to the success of our financial operations as a crucial member of our finance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 3 or more years of professional accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills for complex financial analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data and trends to provide meaningful insights.
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and possesses a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment with changing priorities and quickly adapt to new processes or industry developments.
  • Work seamlessly with other members of the finance team, various departments, and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Syteline and/or QuickBooks is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger for accurate financial records.
  • Record financial transactions in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Conduct cost analysis to optimize manufacturing expenditures and monitor production costs alongside operational teams.
  • Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and collections.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, collaborating with auditors and providing necessary documentation.
  • Stay updated on accounting regulations and ensure strict adherence to financial reporting standards.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls.
  • Assist in Strahman Group accounting functions when needed, along with other duties as assigned.
